The weekend

Cory had his 30th Birthday party on Saturday. It started out a nice quite party with us old people but by the end of the night the younger crowd had taken over. I stayed until about 1am. Some people made it until about 4:30. I was tucked nicely in bed at that time. We all had a good time. Sunday was a day of rest. I didn't even clean out the barn. Just fed the horses and went back to bed. In the afternoon, after Sydney's nap we went down to the Kincaid community Pool (aka - Pat and Stan's house). We sat around there and conversed some REAL interesting conversations. I was still not feeling all that well but managed to choke down a few beers. Here are a few pics from Saturday.

Day of cleaning

I have spent the last two days cleaning this house from top to bottom. Some of it still looks like I never touched it. Others look 200% better. Now I need to start going though all the junk and get rid of it. The basement storage room I will start to tackle next week. It needs cleaned up sooo bad.

Brooke is enjoying kindergarten. So far she is eating the school lunch and not complaining.

1st Day of Kindergarten

Today was the first day of kindergarten. Brooke was not too excited about this. I think that her nerves were getting the better of her. Maybe we were making too big of a deal about it. Anyway, she got ready and we went out to wait for the bus.

Maybe it is a Farm??

I am starting to feel like I live on a farm. With all the critters we seem to accumulate, I wonder if we could collect a farm credit. Lets see I have... 2 dogs, 5 cats, 2 horses, 3 turtles, 4 goldfish, 2 little girls, and one husband. I could start a petting farm. I would probably have to pay people to pet the last one though.

Ring the bell - School's In

My baby is starting Kindergarden tomorrow. Where has time gone. She is starting to get a little nervous now. I think that all day thing will get to her. Trying to get her to bed will also be a challenge. She's never tired to know. We are going to get a hair trim today and get the last few things she need before the big day. I just can't wait I think.

Canoe Trip '08

Lambert's

Cory, Brad, Aaron

What a great time we all had on the canoe trip. No fights, no trips to the jail, nothing major. Almost kinda boring. Oh well. The weather was great, the water felt nice. On Sunday we always stop at Lambert's and eat. Boy do you get your moneys worth. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Sunday

Today was by for the best weather day here. The sun actually came out. So I loaded up the girls and went over to Caladesi Island. We took the ferry over to the island where we spent about 3 hours playing on the beach and eating ice cream. Shania really enjoyed herself.

Now we are getting ready to head home tomorrow. The week is over and we are all ready to get back I think. I have a ton of laundry to do when I get back.

Saturday

Today we mostly just layed around. It rained again so there was not too much we could do. In the evening, Uncle Justin did come and take Brooke and Shania ice skating for the first time. Shania was a natural. Brooke had a hard time keeping her balance. But in the end she got the hang of it as was skating by herself with the help of an ice walker. She didn't want to leave.

Aaron and I went out with some friends that evening. We didn't get home until about 1am.

Friday

Lets see, yesterday was a lazy day. We did nothing but watch it rain. Today we watched it rain in the afternoon then took the boat out for a spin around the gulf. We ended up going to a small island with lots of shells on it. The girls had a great time finding them and chasing the fish. Sydney just loved being able to run where she wanted too. When we were heading back in we came upon a small pod of dolphins hunting fish. The younger ones would jump up out of the water and chase the fish. They came soo close to the boat that if we wanted to we could have reached out and touched them. Brooke and Shania thought this was the best part of the trip.

After we cleaned up and rested for a short short time we headed off to Chuck E Cheese's where we all got to be kids again. This is the best place to take kids when you want a break. You can let them run and not be afraid of someone running off with them. The kids stamps must be matched up with the parents. Brooke and Shania both came home with lots of junk from there.

Sydney is asleep already and I need to try to get the girls to go to bed. I'm tired. All pictures will be on the website.
